December 22, 2021 Dear Trumansburg Community, I write today to inform you of our latest COVID-19 positive numbers. Since Friday, December 17, 2021, we have confirmed two (2) more elementary student positives, three (3) middle school student positive cases, and seven (7) more high school student positive cases. Additionally, we have three (3) new adult cases serving in supporting roles in the district. Our school nurses continue to work closely with the Department of Health and have identified all close contacts. Our sincerest well wishes for a quick and complete recovery to the individuals impacted. September 27, 2021 Dear Trumansburg Community, I regret to inform you that I am writing to provide yet another COVID-19 update. We have two new adult COVID-19 cases, with the last day of attendance being Friday, 9/24/21. We also have two additional student cases in our middle school. It is important to note that the student cases have been traced to contact outside of school. Our school nurses are working extra time and in cooperation with the Department of Health for contact tracing. The Department of Health will notify any person on the contact tracing list. The DOH has notified us that one of our middle school students has tested positive for COVID-19. The last date of attendance was Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Our school nurse is working in cooperation with the Department of Health on contact tracing. The Department of Health will notify all persons on the contact tracing list. November 4th, 2020 Dear Trumansburg Families: I am writing to make you aware of a bus accident that occurred at approximately 7:15 AM this morning on Route 79. At the time of the incident, there were six students on the bus and one waiting to enter. The bus was rear-ended while stopped. As a precautionary measure, two students and staff members were transported to the hospital for further evaluation. All families of students on the bus were notified. Our counselors at each building are available to support students and teachers. Please know, student safety is our priority, as with all incidents we will investigate the situation. If you have further questions or concerns regarding this incident, please reach out to your respective building leader and/or counseling staff.
