June 1, 2021 Dear Trumansburg Community, I regret to inform you that we have had four positive cases of COVID-19 since May 18, 2021. Specifically, the dates of notification were: • May 18, one high school student. • May 21, one elementary school student. • May 29, one elementary school student and one middle school student. All four incidents have been reported on the live feed and posted on our website. However, if families do not have the application, you may not have received the notification. I will in the future continue to send emails to keep everyone informed of our health concerns in our community. The incidents seem to be much more isolated as many of our community members have received the vaccine. Nonetheless, it concerns to learn of anyone impacted by the pandemic. Please continue to be vigilant in your safety with social distancing in public and mask-wearing for those not yet vaccinated. Keep in mind that you are still required to adorn a face mask any time you frequent school grounds regardless of vaccine status. Additionally, the TC DOH has issued new guidance for those that have been vaccinated. Once our leadership team and school nurses have familiarized ourselves with the guidance, we will forward that information to families. I do apologize if you had not previously received information about the positive cases in May. It is always my intent to keep you informed. As always, please keep those affected in your thoughts. Kind regards, Kimberly Kimberly Bell TCSD Superintendent of Schools

MESSAGE FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL, March 29, 2021 Dear COD Parents.Guardians, I am writing to notify all high school families that we have learned this morning of a positive case of COVID 19 among our students. The student was tested this weekend and we have been notified by the health department that we will need to quarantine a number of students who were in class with the student on Wednesday and Thursday of last week. I am currently working with our contact tracing team to identify students that are impacted and we will be contacting parents of all students affected directly by the quarantine notice later this morning. I want to reassure everyone that while we are obligated to quarantine a select number of students, we are still confident in the safety measures we have had in place. We remain optimistic that these quarantine measures will only be precautionary and are hopeful that there will not be any further spread among our students. Additionally, as most of the building faculty have been vaccinated, we do not need to quarantine any staff and the school will remain open for instruction. For those students that are required to quarantine, we will be working with district transportation and parents to get them home as soon as possible today. Those students will be isolated until transportation can be provided. Sincerely, Jon Koeng Principal
