Health and Safety Update
Good afternoon,
I am writing to inform you that a health and safety concern was brought to my attention this a.m. After further consultation with our local police department, I have learned that a concerning "snapchat" has been shared throughout our larger community. The snap is that of a student (that does not attend our campus) with what appears to be a firearm. I wish to reassure our community that no threat has been made to our student body, staff, or campus. The local police department has addressed the matter, and the item confiscated was not a firearm but rather an airsoft BB gun that resembles a firearm. I apologize for the distress this may have caused you and your family. I am grateful this matter did not occur on our campus or during school hours. As always, we take all safety concerns very seriously.
Respectfully,
Kimberly Bell
Superintendent of Schools TCSD
