We are SO proud of how our students responded to the evacuation today. They cleared the building quickly, followed instructions while we waited, and finished the day strong. Way to go MS!
Other highlights = students volunteering for the DINNERS program, 6-word memoirs in ELA 6, computing fractions in math, and a Localvore trip to Farmland Animal Park for team-building exercises.

Our 7th graders had great weather for their trip to Taughannock on October 4th. They played, hiked, and learned about freshwater biomes on the Floating Classroom.

Our Middle School students are back to work and having a good time after the long weekend.

It was wonderful to see the new and familiar faces of our middle school families at Open House last night. This week, seventh graders are learning about plant and animal cells in science and are using different media to sculpt and create in art. Meanwhile, our MAKE students are spreading kindness with their T-burg pride "Be Kind" signs.

Go Blue Raiders! 1st home varsity football game of 2024. What a beautiful night for football in Tburg!

Today is a great day at the middle school. Our 5th graders are testing their math skills using the "Building Thinking Classrooms" model; our 6th graders are learning about atmospheric pressure in science; and ELA students in 7th grade have decorated the halls with posters about the benefits of reading. Finally, after researching and presenting to their classmates about different animals' habitats and diets, our Localvore students headed to the Zoo to learn even more!

Class of 2028 rocked their first full week at Charles O. Dickerson! Reminder: School pictures for grades 9-11 on 9/17 and High School Open House on 9/19 at 6:30pm.

The first week at the middle school was a blast with students learning through inquiry-based lessons and having fun at modified sports events.

Dear Trumansburg Central School District Families,
Due to the anticipated heat forecasted for Tuesday, June 18th through Friday, June 21st, we have made the decision to dismiss all students early at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Additionally, please be informed that the school will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th.
Alternative off-site education programs will operate as usual during this time.
With limited cooling systems in some of our classrooms at the ES & HS, we must prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Therefore, these measures are necessary to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone.
Breakfast and lunch will still be provided, with a shift in serving times to ensure all students receive adequate nourishment. Please note that all field trips scheduled during this period will be canceled or rescheduled.
Students scheduled to take Regents exams should still report for their exams at the scheduled times. We have arranged for alternative classrooms to ensure comfortable testing conditions. The High School has also coordinated transportation for students who require it.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the school administration.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Kimberly Bell/Superintendent of Schools
