This week, our 8th graders learned about the Gilded Age through hands-on activities. They took a tour of a NYC tenement in the hallway, worked on an assembly line, took notes on an informational gallery walk, and even had "Mr. Gold" visit as a guest speaker. Learning is fun!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our middle school families, and to our larger T-burg community. We hope today is filled with peace and gratitude.

Congrats to our Varsity Football team with their continued success! Venue change for the upcoming 8-Man East Semifinal game. NYSPHSAA has announced that the game between Trumansburg and Moravia has been moved to Saturday, November 30th, at 9:00am at Vestal High School.

What's on our walls?! 8th graders are learning about nutrition in Health, 6th graders are studying weather patterns, 7th graders are writing travel brochures for the 13 Colonies, and all of our students are expressing gratitude during World Kindness Day. Great work everyone!

Friday was a busy day at the Middle School with our students and staff working hard. A huge THANK YOU to the PTO and families who organized the staff luncheon. The food was fantastic and helped us power through the end of the week.

The MS hoop house - with which our Localvore students learn about agriculture, food preparation, and business math - was in need of repair. A huge that you to Melissa, David, Cori, Alan, Andy, Margo, Peter, and Marvin for coming out on Saturday to lend a hand. We appreciate it!

We are SO proud of how our students responded to the evacuation today. They cleared the building quickly, followed instructions while we waited, and finished the day strong. Way to go MS!
Other highlights = students volunteering for the DINNERS program, 6-word memoirs in ELA 6, computing fractions in math, and a Localvore trip to Farmland Animal Park for team-building exercises.
Our 7th graders had great weather for their trip to Taughannock on October 4th. They played, hiked, and learned about freshwater biomes on the Floating Classroom.
