The Jazz Cabaret Is Back! The Trumansburg High School music program will bring back its popular Jazz Cabaret on Wednesday, February 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. This elegant event has long been a local favorite because it’s got all the elements for a fabulous (post-) Valentine’s date: great music performed by the high school vocal jazz chorus and jazz band, as well as a decadent dessert buffet featuring cakes, cookies, and more. Dancing is encouraged! This event is an important fundraiser for the Trumansburg Music Boosters, which provides year-round support for the school music programs, including student scholarships. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the door. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each for chances to win beautiful potted plant arrangements created by local artist Denise Milito. The pandemic put the Jazz Cabaret on hold, and the Tburg jazz musicians and their teachers are eager to celebrate its return with fantastic performances and sweet treats. Congratulations to Mary Cassidy who garnered 2 honorable mentions in this year’s Scholastics Art Competition! Mary’s work will be displayed at the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira NY along with other recognized work from the region February 5th through March 10th.

His legacy will live on forever.

Our 7th and 8th Graders had the whole auditorium a jingle-bell-a-ROCKIN' last night during their winter concert. Congrats to all their hard work and incredible performance! #tburgstrong
