20 of our grade 7 and 8 chorus students represented TBurg at the STMEA All-County Festival last weekend. They performed an impressive program including a piece by Mozart, a folk song from South Africa, and a gospel piece. We are so proud of their hard work!

Our middle schoolers may be a little sleepy this week, but they are back to work and having fun. PE classes are learning a modified version of bocce while Social Studies 7 classes are using online games to review terms and concepts. Meanwhile, students in Math 7/Pre-algebra got a tasty treat today after learning about square footage and surface area while building gingerbread houses. Welcome back, everyone!

This week, our 8th graders learned about the Gilded Age through hands-on activities. They took a tour of a NYC tenement in the hallway, worked on an assembly line, took notes on an informational gallery walk, and even had "Mr. Gold" visit as a guest speaker. Learning is fun!
